In its on-going commitment to encouraging an interest in the performing Arts in the student population, and in its determination to contribute to the development of the musical ability of gifted young Artists, Associated Integrated Systems has established a bursary which is to be administered by The Barrie Jazz And Blues Festival. This bursary will be applied to the musical education of the winner of the Prix d'Amateur. Its sole purpose is to help remove any obstacle to the realization of an Artist's or Ensemble's creative and technical skills potential and to instil an appreciation of the value and the purpose of continued education.
